STUDY THE LYNX - LEARN HOW TO TRACK - EXPERIENCE WILD NATURE - ENJOY A NIGHT IN THE LYNX TERRITORY

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TOUR?

DAY I
We meet up at an agreed place at 13.00
From there we will go to our strategically placed hides where we will spend the night.

When everything is installed and ready we will move to another area to make a fire
far away from where we will sleep and scout.
All to avoid any kind of disturbance.

We will have coffee/tea in front of the crackling fire while the guide informs about the lynx.

How do they live? What do they eat?

Do they have territories? How many lynx are there in Sweden? And more.
We will also go through what sounds we will be listening for during the night.

Now it's time to go for a walk in the home range of the lynx.
We will look for fresh tracks and other signs of the lynx being present and we till also take a closer
look at what kind of biotope the mysterious cat thrives in and why.

Nature here is beautiful so make sure to bring your camera.

We will have dinner in the forest before it's time to return to the night camp.
When we're back it’s time to sneak into our hides to listen for the call of the lynx in the
night and maybe even be lucky enough to see one making its way through
the forest in the early morning hours.

The lynx is nocturnal and can therefor be very difficult to spot.
It is rare, but it happens, that our guests get to see lynx, so it's of great importance
to be discreet and always keep a respectful distance not to disturb the animals.

This tour isn't about seeing a lynx at any cost but to learn more about
'the Swedish tiger' and its home area.

The tour is placed during the lynx's mating season so the chances of hearing their long
and wailing calls when trying to attract a partner are high.

We enjoy breakfast together in the camp until its time to pack up and be on our way home.
